Club of Lexington Sunrise

Welcome to Sunrise Rotary!

The Lexington Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to follow the motto Service Above Self. We are a group of friendly, community-oriented individuals who love the Lexington/Rockbridge area. Our meetings provide opportunities for professional networking, leadership development, friendship, and fun. We encourage you to join us for a meeting!

Our members participate in a variety of service projects throughout the year including:

  • Delivering backpacks of food through the W&L Campus Kitchen program.
  • Delivering boxes of food through the Christmas Basket program.
  • Participating in Junior Achievement at local elementary schools.
  • Cleaning up our community through the Highway Pick Up Program.

Our Club Foundation supports local and global charitable initiatives including:

  • Through a matching grant from our Rotary District, we will purchase library materials for four elementary school as well as analog wrist watches to help first graders meet their standards of learning benchmarks.
  • A Wheelchair Project to help disabled persons in countries where access to wheelchairs is limited.
  • Water projects in South America through Virginia Military Institute's Engineers Without Borders program.
  • A variety of other non-profit organizations that provide valuable resources for our community.

Sunrise Rotary sponsors two Rotaract Clubs; one at Washington & Lee University and Engineers Without Borders at Virginia Military Institute. We also sponsor the Interact Club at Rockbridge County High School.

We are a group of dedicated members who want to make a difference in the community and the world. Please contact us to learn more about Rotary or to join this great group of people.
